L7 is Beijing-based RobotEra's second full-size humanoid — a Tsinghua University spin-off building on the earlier STAR1 platform. Unveiled in July 2025, L7 stands 171 cm tall, weighs 65 kg, carries 55 DoF and 400 N·m peak joint torque, and is currently the fastest full-sized humanoid in the world at 14.4 km/h (9 mph) sprint (heise.de).
Hands use RobotEra's fully direct-drive five-finger module with 12 independently actuated DoF — supports tool use, sorting, scanning and even 360° spins / breakdancing. The ERA-42 VLA model coordinates locomotion + manipulation. Per-arm payload 10 kg, dual-arm 20 kg. Pricing starts ~$100K. RobotEra reports 200+ humanoids shipped in 2025 and claims orders from 9 of the world's 10 largest tech firms.
