Kepler Forerunner K2 is Shanghai Kepler Robotics' fifth-generation industrial humanoid. It debuted publicly at ICRA 2025 in Atlanta and was demonstrated at SAIC-GM's Shanghai automotive plant in April 2025 (the "K2 Bumblebee" variant) (interestingengineering.com).
The 178 cm / 85 kg chassis carries 52 DoF and a near-zero static-power design that delivers up to 8 hours of operation on a 1-hour charge. Payload: 15 kg per arm, 30 kg dual-arm. Kepler's proprietary Dexterous Hand carries 11 DoF, 25 contact-force sensors per finger, plus a 6-axis F/T sensor at the wrist; fingertips report 96 sensors total. The "K2 Bumblebee" variant entered mass production in September 2025 (priced at RMB 248,000 per unit) and was deployed in a SAIC factory handling 20 kg material bins and at HZF's production line by end-2025.
