$200,000PilotNEURA Robotics 4NE-1 (3rd gen): 180 cm cognitive humanoid, 16-DoF hands, dual-battery 24/7 ops, 100 kg lift, "artificial skin" tactile surface and Omnisensor — Europe's most-funded humanoid line.
4NE-1 ("for-anyone") is NEURA Robotics' cognitive humanoid, built in Metzingen, Germany. The third-generation 4NE-1, world-premiered at Automatica 2025 (24–27 June) and shown again at IFA Berlin in September 2025, is 180 cm tall, 60 cm × 40 cm at the torso, walks at 3–5 km/h, has 16 independently controlled actuators per hand and lifts up to 100 kg thanks to high-torque joints. It pairs the patented Omnisensor and seven cameras with "artificial skin" — a touch-sensitive surface that registers contact before it occurs — for direct human collaboration (humanoidsdaily.com).
NEURA also markets the Neuraverse — described as the world's first robotics app-store ecosystem, comparable to a mobile app store but for robots — which lets 4NE-1 and the household-service MiPA robot acquire skills published by third-party developers. The 4NE-1 Wheels variant targets hospitals, restaurants and care homes, while the bipedal model is positioned for both industrial and domestic deployments. NEURA closed a Schaeffler technology partnership in 2024 to feed industrial actuation expertise into the platform.
