Astribot S1 is the flagship from Shenzhen-based Stardust Intelligence — founded in 2022 — combining a humanoid upper body with an omnidirectional wheeled base. The platform is roughly 173 cm / 80 kg with 36 DoF; the two 7-DoF arms hit ≥10 m/s end-effector speed, ±0.1 mm positioning repeatability and 5 kg payload per arm at full horizontal reach, surpassing average adult-male benchmarks (blog.robozaps.com).
S1 went viral on 29 April 2024 when Stardust posted a teaser of the robot cooking, setting tables, doing calligraphy and pulling tablecloths at near-impossible speeds. In July 2025 the company published the "Astribot Suite" peer-reviewed paper detailing the hardware + teleop pipeline + DuoCore-WB imitation-learning policy — reported 80% average task success across contact-rich household chores. Commercial availability began late 2025 in China at $96K-$150K; international rollout planned through 2026.
