$120,000PilotPNDbotics Adam Lite: 160 cm / 60 kg open-research bipedal, 25 DoF, 340 N·m leg torque QDD PND actuators, 4-6 km/h, 3 h runtime. Sim-trained in NVIDIA Isaac Gym; ran the 100 m obstacle race at World Humanoid Robot Games Aug 2025.
Adam Lite is PNDbotics' affordable open-platform bipedal humanoid, prototyped around 2023-2024 (wiki.pndbotics.com). The 160 cm / 60 kg chassis carries 25 DoF and the company's proprietary quasi-direct-drive (QDD) "PND actuators" delivering up to 340 N·m of leg torque with high back-drivability.
Control runs on an Intel i7 NUC + an RCU; locomotion policies are trained in NVIDIA Isaac Gym across 4,096 parallel environments using PPO + Adversarial Motion Priors, producing straight-knee walking, heel-toe running, arm swinging and disturbance recovery. Adam Lite competed in the August 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games and was the only full-size humanoid to complete the 100 m obstacle race.
