Reachy 2 is the open-source research humanoid from Bordeaux-based Pollen Robotics — successor to the 2020 Reachy. Pollen launched it at CES 2025 in Las Vegas; in April 2025 Hugging Face acquired Pollen Robotics and committed to open-sourcing both hardware and software for the platform (therobotreport.com).
The platform is 136-166 cm tall, ~50 kg, with dual 7-DoF bio-inspired arms (Orbita 3D wrists + necks, Orbita 2D elbows + shoulders) and a 3 kg per-arm payload. Sensors include multiple RGB-D cameras and a Time-of-Flight unit. Reachy 2 is offered in four trims: single-arm or dual-arm × stationary or AMR base. It ships with a Python SDK on ROS 2 Foxy and supports teleoperation via VR.
