$35,000PrototypeLG CLOiD (CES 2026 debut): home-service wheeled humanoid. Dual 7-DoF arms with 5-finger hands, tilting torso, VLM + VLA stack trained on 10,000+ hours of household-task data. Folds laundry, loads dishwasher, fetches.
CLOiD is LG Electronics' first humanoid in its long-running CLOi service-robot family. LG announced it ahead of CES 2026 and unveiled live demos at the show in Las Vegas (January 2026) (lgnewsroom.com).
The humanoid pairs a wheeled base with a tilting torso (knee-level → counter-height reach) and dual 7-DoF arms terminating in five-fingered hands. The "brain" is in the head: VLM (image / video → language) + VLA (visual + verbal → motor actions), trained on tens of thousands of hours of household task data. CES demos showed CLOiD retrieving milk, loading a croissant into the oven, initiating laundry cycles, then folding and stacking garments. LG positions it under the "Zero Labor Home" vision.
