Alex Fon, retail RFID business manager at PAL Robotics, shares lessons from RAIN in Action 2026 and describes how PAL Robotics’ StockBot adds inventory visibility to warehouse operations.
Fon says the RAIN-enabled ecosystem has progressed beyond technology approval and trials. He sees organizations expanding deployments and applying the technology in supply chains, warehouse logistics, and factories, including journeys spanning 20 years.
Fon points to Tandem as an example of RFID working alongside PAL Robotics’ solution. StockBot helps track inventory between inbound and outbound operations, providing stock visibility on a daily or weekly schedule. He says covering this work without RFID robots would be difficult.
After facilities have RFID tags in place, Fon says organizations can extend their value by adding other technologies. He describes using a warehouse solution to find stock and detect misplaced items, giving teams a clearer view of inventory.
