MIRO U is Midea Group's "super humanoid" — unveiled 5 December 2025 at the 2025 Greater Bay Area New Economy Forum. The headline design: a wheeled chassis carrying six fully actuated bionic arms (rather than the human-like two) (interestingengineering.com).
The robot retains a humanoid torso + head for human-workstation compatibility and visual recognition, but uses lower limbs for heavy components, upper limbs for fine assembly, plus 360° in-place rotation and stable vertical lifting. Fast-switching end-effectors mean MIRO U can replace several specialised single-purpose stations. Pilot deployment: Midea Wuxi High-end Washing Machine Factory by end of December 2025; Midea projects 30% productivity gains.
