We’re excited to see CNBC spotlighting our Humanoid Data Training Center
RealMan Robotics’ Kenneth Ren discusses how instructors train humanoid robots at a Beijing center, with examples from factory work and service jobs.

Training robots through guided practice
Kenneth Ren says the center teaches robots to act independently. At the Beijing facility, about 100 instructors guide AI-enabled robots through tasks using cameras, controllers, and motion capture, repeating movements to generate training data.

Learning factory and household tasks
Former art teacher Foody Law says instructors initially control the robots manually, then the machines use the recorded movement data to learn tasks. Examples include sorting items on a factory line, housekeeping, massage, shelf organization, and metal repair. Law says instructors tire before the robots do.

Practicing fine motor skills
The center uses motion tracking and sensors to train robotic hands, repeating a new skill an average of 10,000 times, according to the report. The host says a robotic hand can pick up an egg, smaller objects, and a string.

Testing robots in service jobs
Training also happens in workplaces. AI-powered robots are being tested as restaurant chefs, bartenders, waiters, and bodega owners, but still depend on human assistants. Their proponents expect them eventually to do these jobs independently.
