PAL Robotics presents how TIAGo’s Advanced Navigation Package builds editable maps, supports configurable routes and obstacles, and enables autonomous navigation.

Create and update maps
The package creates a map as an operator drives the robot through a new area with a joystick. The map can later be edited and refreshed to reflect changes in the environment.

Configure points and obstacles
Operators can set navigation preferences and mark points or zones of interest on the map. They can also add virtual obstacles using a web interface.

Navigate between locations
TIAGo can travel autonomously between the marked locations. Its head camera helps it avoid physical obstacles, including people and tables.

Manage maps and visualize navigation
The Building Manager groups maps from different areas of one building. The Advanced Navigation Package also works with RViz visualization.
