A safety module for pretrained policies
SafeBimanual is a trajectory optimization module designed to work with pretrained diffusion-based bimanual policies. The NTU team developed it with BUPT, and it is at the testing stage.
- 0:13
Keypoint relations and dynamic scheduling
The module calculates safety costs from relationships between keypoints, then uses vision-language models to adjust scheduling dynamically. The team reports coordinated, safer performance across eight RoboTwin tasks.

RoboTwin results
On RoboTwin, SafeBimanual increased average task success by 13.8% and reduced unsafe interactions by 18.9%.

Real-world tests with Galaxea R1
Tests on the Galaxea R1 showed a 32.5% increase in success and 30% fewer unsafe interactions. The robot also completed a long-horizon task, preparing breakfast, safely from start to finish.

CoRL 2025 acceptance
The work was accepted to CoRL 2025. Its reported results point to an approach for improving safety and reliability when deploying bimanual robots in real-world tasks.
